The Homeschool Monthly: November 2024 (PLUS a Coloring Contest!)

The Homeschool Monthly Newsletter: November 2024

A Monthly Newsletter for Homeschoolers: Always Learning, Always Growing!

Hi Friends! Welcome to the month of November! You're going to want to read all the way to the bottom to see some exciting news!

My kids and I are excited about our trip to the pumpkin patch this weekend and decorating our home for Thanksgiving! We finally had a full week of normal school with our new schedule (new post about this coming soon!) and my kids loved it!

One of the things that I've been wanting to add into our schooling was piano lessons. I have search all over my area for a good piano teacher and none have openings at the moment. So last year I invested in some fun beginner piano books and my kids have loved them.

But I was reading this blog post by my friend Arrows and Applesauce (Side Note: She has a beautiful shop full of fun school resources! If you use code: RLB15 you'll get 20% your entire purchase!) and learned about Hoffman Academy. (This is not an ad.)

Hoffman Academy has 300 free piano lessons for kids! So we tried them out this week and so far it's been a hit with my kiddos! I'm excited to see them grow in their piano skills!

As part of my 182.5 Reading Challenge, my kids and I do one of my favorite things together, read! We read each day during our morning basket time new picture books and do an activity together! I have been sending our 2 favorites out to you on Monday mornings. This last Monday I was only able to give you one of them, The Pie Reports.

I was finally able to put the other one together in a post, so here it is for you and your little ones to enjoy! Balloons Over Broadway is such a fun book and we gathered several activities to go along with it as well! I'll have 2 more fun picture book recommendations next Monday for you as well!

What I'm currently reading!

Each month I highlight a book that I'm reading. This month it's The Gift of Failure by Jessica Lahey. Between life with a newborn, homeschooling and trying to keep my home clean, I haven't truly had much time to read. After only reading the first chapter, I feel like this is going to be a good one though!

Do you have a book suggestion for mama's you'd like me to read/and then share about? Simply hit "Reply" and let me know which book you recommend!

I'm so thankful for you, friend! I'd love to hear from you! Hit the "reply" button above, tell me a little about yourself and what you'd like to see here in the future!

As always...Keep Learning and Keep Growing! Happy Homeschooling!

October 2024 Picture Books & Activities Good Afternoon! Get ready for a fun week of picture books and activities! First, I just want to apologize for not sending any emails throughout September/beginning of October! This was due to some pregnancy complications, but all is well now.
